Hello,
I'm part of a management team for a company and are receiving a message in Trello at the top of the page-
"You are approaching the limit on the number of visible cards you can have on a board. Please archive any cards which are unnecessary."
While mitigating this issue by clicking the hyper link, "archive" after Please in that message it leads us to "Board Clean-up" where we have tried to archive cards in bulk. clicking "Archive selected cards"unfortunately is not working and unable to archive even one card. Can you assist us with this issue?
Kind Regards,
-Ry4
If you wish to bulk archive cards this tool can help you do it: https://trellotools.azurewebsites.net/BatchUpdate
Don't feel comfortable giving account access to Trellotools due to confidentiality of the company. Is there alternative routes we can take to archive cards 3 months and older / cards within a column in bulk?

OK, fair (and interesting to know given I'm the developer of TrelloTools and are interested in user-caution preventing the tools usage)
There are powerup out there that can also do it and the go through a certification so guess they are a bit more safe, but do not know if they are free: https://trello.com/power-ups/5e4464985fd190825d164de3/bulk-actions
If you 100% wish to control yourself you need to use the Trello API (what I did on TrelloTools), but require developer knowledge.
Given that it is easy for me, I can send you some code (C#) that does it (No charge as it is ~10-15 lines), that a developer of your company can review and execute.

Out of interest, would you have been more comfortable using TrelloTools had it limked to the source-code or would it have been the same to you (guess it would be the latter, since it is all about trust and certification, open-source, etc is essentially just level of security-remedies that in worst case can be fake trust if not studied carefully)

Hello @Ryan . Bulk Actions creator here. Welcome to the community!
You could consider archiving all the cards in each list, one by one. This functionality is built into Trello. See this article .
If you need more fine-grained control over what you are archiving, Bulk Actions Power-Up has been the standard for this sort of operation in Trello for some years now. As @Rasmus Wulff Jensen said, if you do not have a developer background, that is probably your best bet.
I understand your security concerns when involving third parties. That is something personally important to me as well. What I can tell you is that we are a Trello Partner, and we are bound by their security policies. More than that, we are based in the EU, which means we are subject to some of the most restrictive privacy standards in the world. We have also been installed on more than 100k boards and are trusted by many companies, both big and small.
If you are interested, we have a 7-day trial and a limited-time free plan afterward, so you could add us and clean up your board for free during the trial.
If you have any concerns or questions specific to our Power-Up, you can always reach us at support@bulkactionspu.com.
