Keep an eye out for adversaries posing as Trello recruiters

Hey Trello Community, hope you’re all doing well!

We’ve received some reports from our Community of adversaries posing as Trello recruiters and advertising Trello job opportunities through SMS and Whatsapp messaging. These adversaries are using Trello job opportunities to get access to your personal information, such as usernames, passwords, and bank details.

If you receive a message from someone posing as a Trello or Atlassian recruiter, and you have not applied for a job at Atlassian, please do not share with this person any personal information.

We do not send potential employees messages via SMS or Whatsapp. If you applied for a position at Atlassian, and have received messages from a recruiter and want to verify if these are not phishing, here are some tips:

• Search for the recruiter’s name on LinkedIn and confirm if they are a recruiter currently employed at Atlassian - make sure their account and workplace is verified as well

• Check to see if you have been sent an email from an atlassian.com email address - recruiters will only ever reach out to you on these email addresses. Recruiters will not start a conversation with you via SMS or Whatsapp

• If a recruiter is asking for your personal details or asking for you to conduct an interview over SMS/Whatsapp - they’re most likely fraudulent
