Personal Experience with Certiverse Online Exams

Hello, 

I am planning to take the next ACP exam (unfortunately) online via Certiverse. 

I took all the previous ACPs in the test center - it helped me to focus on the test. 

I haven´t found any shared personal experience with the new system, especially from someone who preferred taking exams in the test center and was forced to take the exam online. 

Are the rules really so strict as they´re given on the exam page? You really can´t have a glass of water on your desk and drink from it during the exam? What to do if you need to blow your nose? :) And also the normal human automatically covers the mouth while sneezing...

I also cannot imagine to sit for 3 hours staring at the monitor without drinking a water, looking somewhere else for a little while and blowing the nose when needed...

Does anyone have the personal experience to share? How was the exam?

I’ve taken all my exams online. Personally, as I don’t drink much water, I’ve never brought anything into the room where I take my exams, but a clear bottle is allowed. Before the exam starts, they ask you to scan the room with the camera to check there’s nothing unauthorised – ceilings, floors, walls, under the table, the table itself (including switching your mobile to selfie mode to view the laptop screen if the webcam is built-in). Then they ask you to focus on your ears and wrists. I don’t think they’ll give you any trouble if you have a tissue and show it to them. Someone monitors you during the exam and writes to you if they spot anything that needs explaining, or to ask you to take your hands away from your mouth, for example. I try to stay focused and avoid any strange gestures.

I took the latest ACP exam with *psi in October. Prepare to get rid of any personal stuff around your desk, which you are able to reach with arms or legs. 

Additionally, you are allowed to have a glass of water next to you. Yes, you should look on the monitor only the whole time. However, I texted the proctor in case I needed to switch on the light and therefore needed to adjust the camera slightly to show again, that nothing is there.

Overall the online exam was ok and I did finish after about 2.5 hours.

Hi Bozena,

I took the first of my certificate exams online, and for the other exams I also went to a test center.
Online was a real nightmare for me. First, scanning the entire room with the webcam, with lots of comments.

I am sure I answered the first few questions incorrectly due to unnecessary stress, even though I did pass ;-)
Whenever I looked down for a moment to think about a question, I got already a comment.
Hopefully, it is all a little less strict.
But apparently, there is no other way than online now, so I wish you good luck.

Hello!

In addition to what everyone has said, I took a 5 min break - you are allowed this once during the exam.

No writing material or anything else aside from a clear glass of water on the desk.

I also had a mouse and a laptop holder :)
