I'm planning to take the ACP-120 Jira Administration for Cloud exam and would love to hear your suggestions or tips for preparation.
If you've already passed it or are currently studying, what resources, strategies, or practice materials would you recommend?
Any advice on topics to focus on or things to watch out for would be really appreciated!
Thanks in advance!

Hello @Ankur

Welcome to the Atlassian community.

Have you reviewed the information and free, on-demand training available at https://community.atlassian.com/learning ? Specifically:

https://community.atlassian.com/learning/certifications/jira-administration-for-cloud

The materials also include a PDF of "Detailed exam topics". Review that document carefully. The training materials may not directly cover all topics in the PDF or may not go into much detail in some topics. The PDF file includes links to Atlassian documentation resources for each topic.

I also recommend that you set up your own Jira Cloud product subscription so that you can get hands on experience with all the activities discussed in the training materials.

Review the Certifications FAQs.

https://university.atlassian.com/student/page/850277-cert-faqs

The exams give you multiple choice questions. You may see multiple answers that appear to be correct. You need to review the answers very carefully because only one answer is going to be correct. (Unless, of course, the question says to pick multiple answers.)

If you are planning to take a proctored exam from home make sure that you prepare your testing environment to meet the requirements well in advance of starting the exam. The proctor will ask you to use your camera to give them a full view of the area to make sure you have complied.

Hello @Trudy Claspill ,

Thanks for the reply. Still as per the scenerio based questions it seems like I have to rely on my expertise as outside data is less.

HI @Ankur ,

Welcome to the community. I have passed the exam and what Trudy mention is really great tips I have used myself for the exam. Having the exam schedule is so key, it gives a goal and make sure you have a date set when to complete your studying by. When I first started with certs, I study first and then when I was ready, I scheduled the exam. Often times for me, that lead me to take more  period of study breaks which push the exam further.

The other points I would add is:

1. Understand all the exams topics but really focus on the high percentage areas of the exam.
2. Hands on is so crucial to understanding a topic. Helps you retain knowledge. At least in my case.
3. Make sure you get good rest the night before. If you get nerves during an exam, make to do some breathing exercise. This will help with clarity when trying to understand the question. This is crucial since some question hinge on a particular word in the question. Missing it, will easily cause a wrong selection in the question.

4. Make sure to answer all questions. Missing an answer will atomically fail that question but at least if you have answer it. You may have a possibility of passing that question.

All the best
