Passed the ACA-910! whoo!

Happy to share I'm now ACA-910 certified!

This certification covers IT Service Management (ITSM) and Jira Service Management foundations - the core skills someone working on a service desk needs.

While the exam is heavily weighted to JSM (70%!) it does include some conceptual information around IT service management (e.g. the system-agnostic ideas behind why things are done). I appreciate the approach as understanding WHY you need to do something is just as important as they HOW you do it.

Honestly that background knowledge would have been a huge help to me early in my career. Even (relatively) simple things like knowing the difference between "problem" and "incident" would have helped me decode information and help resolve things more quickly on the job.

I was also never formally trained on Jira Service Management - which made it (more than) a bit challenging to actually use it (especially since I began as a project admin!). Knowing the intended use of the product - and how Agents are expected to use it - would have been incredibly helpful.

If you use JSM (either as an agent, or help desk manager) definitely check out this certification. Atlassian Learning has some great stuff, and I've also launched a Udemy course to help folks prepare for this exam.

I've also got some "recorded live" study sessions if you're looking for some more perspective and info (all linked in below).

Curious what others think of the ACA-910? Share below!

This one is next on my list! Last week, I completed ACA-LE Loom Essentials and today I completed Jira Software Essentials.

Congratulations @Robert Hean

I took the exam the day before you started your video series, just like every other ACA you've done videos for this year, if I'd just waited I could have watched them before doing the exams not after!

Now to start working towards those ACPs.

Congratulations, Rob, for passing the exam! 🎉 Just curious - how many items were there? Were they all multiple choice? Thanks!

@Ericson Ramos most of the ACA certifications are about 28 questions all multiple choice, they are harder than the end of module test questions in the training courses at https://community.atlassian.com/learning, but only because each question is more specific about a single topic and as such they are phrased differently, which comes as a surprise first time you do one.
