New Jira app administration live training for Jira admins

The way your Jira site is configured shapes what every team can see, access, and do. Getting the foundations right, from your global settings and permissions to your schemes and automation, keeps your site secure, consistent, and easy to manage as it grows. Our new courses will help new and seasoned Jira admins build and govern a site that works the way your teams do.

We just launched three new live learning courses for Jira app admins:

These courses are built around the real tasks and responsibilities of a Jira admin. We cover topics from the essentials to the more advanced features your site might not be using yet.

🧠 What your team can learn

The three new courses cover the full range of Jira app admin tasks, so you can expect your team to learn not only how to configure a Jira site but also how to keep it running well as it scales.

Jira app admin: Configure permissions and global settings (~6 hours)

  • Explore Jira administration

  • Configure global Jira settings

  • Configure Jira global permissions

  • Jira access and permission schemes

This course covers the foundations. It is a great starting point for new Jira admins. Your team will learn how administration is structured across a site, how to configure the global settings that apply everywhere, and how to control who can do what through global permissions and permission schemes. This course will take your team from a default configuration to a site that is secure by design and simple to maintain.

Jira app admin: Standardize a site with schemes (~6.5 hours)

  • Work types and work type schemes

  • Fields and field schemes

  • Configure screens and screen schemes

  • Design and standardize workflows

This course goes deeper into the configuration layer. Your team will learn how to define the work types teams track, control which fields appear and when, design the screens people fill in, and build the workflows that move work forward. Each of these connects through schemes, so a change made once can roll out cleanly across the whole site. These skills turn a collection of one-off spaces into a consistent, governable system.

Jira app admin: Effectively govern a site (~4.5 hours)

  • Create and manage Jira spaces globally

  • Automate work in Jira

  • Govern and maintain a Jira site

In this course, your team will learn how to create and manage spaces across the whole site, use automation to remove repetitive manual work, and apply the maintenance practices that keep a site healthy as it grows. These skills help your team spend less time firefighting and more time getting ahead of problems, so your Jira site stays fast and reliable.

👤 Who is this for?

These courses are for Jira users who administer a Jira site, or who are stepping into that role. Whether your team is new to Jira administration or you need them to be more proficient, the modules are designed to be practical and immediately applicable to their site. You can take any course separately or get the full experience by taking all three in sequence.

⌛ Format

All three courses are instructor-led, available in person or virtually. Each course is designed with real-life scenarios in mind. You can expect use cases applicable across industries and practice exercises with hands-on tasks in our sandbox environment.

Hi @Christopher Urra , these look like great courses for new space and Jira admins. Congrats on their release! And it looks like the "Standardize a site with schemes" course includes working with the new Field Scheme feature, I'm definitely taking that one.
