How Bamboo Helped Us

When we switched to Bamboo, it changed the way we work with other teams in our company.

Things we used to have to do manually:

Change version numbers
Make list of changes
Run scripts manually to create installer package
Copy installer scripts to a fileshare, with the correct documentation.

With Bamboo's build section, it's compiling and creating our installers for us. And with the Deploy section, it's doing all the manual copying for us! And since we are using JIRA, JIRA manages what cards are in that release.

Now our documentation is always correct, our deploys always have exactly what is needed, and Bamboo even notifies our QA/support teams when releases are happening. :)

Our deploy process used to take several hours of effort for one person. Now it's down to a few minutes!
