Our team will use the Network of Teams play to start building effective links with some of our wayward fellow teams. As part of the Digital and Business Transformation team, we make some fairly significant changes in the business, and improving communications and alignments will be critical going forward to the success of some of these massive work programs.
I think make agreements related to our roles and responsabilities and even make more agreements about how to work together. It is because we are a group working together but with no enough cohesion. May be a role play could be a good way to be more effective
I believe our team can benefit a lot from Roles and Responsibilities play because I can see some responsibilities not being clear and also not being assigned directly to a member so every time that responsibility comes up, we hit a bump and waste some time to go over it. The best way is that we make a Team Poster first and then move on to the Roles and Responsibilities play. This way we first understand what each member of the team's role should be and then move on to assigning responsibilities to each member accordingly.
I'm not in a team right now, but next time I am I will definitely suggest the Roles and Responsibilities playbook. Personally I just like to make sure everyone has a role and task(s) on the team and everyone knows what their own and their team members' role/task(s).
Personally, I think structure and team/product organization is very important so ensuring people have assigned roles and responsibilities would be one of the first things on mind. Getting the peoples positions established will help go through other steps easier as specific questions could be handled by the person with the assigned role that the question applies to.
I believe our team would benefit from defining Roles and Responsibilities, as we are a new team and this would greatly help in clarifying our roles and responsibilities.
I appreciate the concept of Team Poster Play and the ability to share it.
I liked the idea of the Team Poster play. For a mid size to large team, this can be a useful thing to be reviewed regularly, so that we can ensure everyone is aligned with the main topic of what we do as a team.
Companies evolve, they are not static, and so Teams need to evolve as well, adapting to fit company objectives, and as such Team Plays helps facilitate this process by constantly refining the team functions to fit the new requirements, or adapt to incorporate new relationships with other teams.
I think my team can benefit from "Working Agreements" play, as everyone has a different working style, so it's important to create guidelines to determine how we will work best together to achieve the team goals.
Our team could really benefit from running the Roles and Responsibilities Play. Sometimes it’s unclear who owns what, which slows us down. By defining everyone’s roles clearly, we can avoid confusion and work more efficiently. When running this Play, make sure everyone has a chance to share their thoughts—it helps build alignment and trust.
My future team could greatly benefit from the Team Poster play for our next big project, as it will align everyone by providing direction on where the project is heading and fostering a shared understanding of our goals and responsibilities.
I would say roles and responsibilities cause during most teams I've been with everyone goes off track and start trying to work on another part while needing to do their work still.
in my point of view, playing roles and responsibilities is very useful, because in most cases team members are rarely have same understanding about their own and their teammates roles. so, this misunderstanding will cause conflict and problems.
My small team is spread out over two states, and while they are generally effective, I can see the benefits of running both the Roles and Responsibilities play and the Working Agreements play. Having the team more involved in how we function will help give them a sense of responsibility, and clarifying roles will ensure that they are only doing the work they need to instead of picking up extra tasks that aren't necessarily in our lane.
Having a closed mindset or only watch a patch of the many ways to succeed is an usual thing that happens around the teams I am facilitating.
This can help all the teams to make them se and feel that is needed to all of us to get on everyones shoes to reach a final goal and iterate from there.
The working agreements is a good one to run to remove any assumptions about ways of working with team members. Especially, when it comes to working remotely and everyone is in different parts of the world.
I would really like to start with the team poster as a team building activity before introducing the other team shaping plays. Team poster helps to identify what everyone in the team is working on and why which will provide a shared understanding of the team purpose.
My pick would be "Roles and Responsibilities" as now the situation is unclear to my team. We have adapted a "everybody does everything" mentality during the years which as lead to issues as the problems that we face are getting more and more complex. We need more specialized roles to achieve our goals and to be more efficient with the limited resources that we have available.
My team would benefit most from the network of teams exercise. We work with many different teams of engineers, IT people, sister teams at different worksites, and customer teams. It can get tough to manage who is affiliated with what, what benefits we get from each team, and what we owe to each team. Actively managing our relationship and collaboration with our partner teams would have a great benefit.
Roles and responsibility seems to be the majority that would be put into effect. Teams knowing where they need to be and what responsibilities they should stick at is very important as this could make or break a team when producing product for customers.
The network of teams is the one play that will definitely help my team thrive, we recently had a project on which everyone was struggling to deliver their work, mostly because no one was aware of all the integrations that happened on the systems and who to reach out, we lost a lot of time on these activities, which should've been resolved before starting the project
