We are standing up a governance/ oversight group for our project. We want them to meet regularly and make informed decisions at the time they meet. I'm thinking to approach this group as a new 'team'. I think if we, as a the project team, can establish a Strategic Guidance this will give Governance Group a framework to support their decision-making. The first step is to come up with 2-3 guiding principles that align with priorities of the project and the organisation.
So as the project team we want to develop for the Governance Group: - a vision for itself that aligns to the project's vision (so will use Vision Creation) - a set of outcomes (so will use Goals, Signals and Measures)
- a DACI to use a tool for decision-making (so will use the DACI play)
@Jessica O'Neill, Yes, that sounds great! Are you looking for volunteers? I would love to be a part of this. Governance is a huge struggle within company's especially if one was not put into place and now they are trying to backtrack and put one in place in an environment users are used to having access.
Really enjoyed all the 4 modules and it will help to convey, engage, plan, measure progress and eventually reach to the point of closure ( project success). I would run the Goals, Signals, and Measures template in my project.
I plan to run all of the plays; these were clearly articulated, easy to follow, and I really appreciate the templates and tips from Atlassians! Thanks so much for creating this course; it's exactly what I was looking for.
Hello my name is Leonardo Torres, I will work on using the Vision Creation Clay within my newly formed team to give everyone a clear view of our vision and our customers.
Regarding the question, I'll begin by revisiting our company vision, using the 'Vision Creation' approach. This will help the team better understand our mission and how each member contributes.
Without a doubt I will be using the customer journey mapping with my advising clients. It is the area that I find many of my clients don't pay enough attention to.
Getting a persona, and mapping out the journey is key. I will facilitate and they will provide the content.
I plan to run both Vision Creation and Goals, Signals, and Measures. It will be a part of beginning of a new direction in public administration. I apreciate expeciallly the persona approach. I need to create empathy and estimulete my team to work together
Very informative sessions, fully intending to get my team to complete the course as well. Leadership should come from within the team and for me to get the correct buy in then it would help having the same knowledge as me with regards the methodology.
Excited to see the feedback from the vision sessions.
I would go with DACI as it helps for my team collaboration and decision-making process for systemic product design improvement. Thanks for the useful tips and tricks. Overall, great course.
I will use DACI since the team is new and clarity around roles is currently challenging us. This will help us to better understand the boundaries of each role
Great content in the course! I plan to run Goals, Signals and Measures within; however, DACI will be useful for us as well. I have a team of 16 and I am always looking for ways to improve our communication, so everyone is on the same page, and also emphasize our goals so that our outcomes are the most meaningful and measurable.
While not leading a team myself currently, I'm going to use the Goals, Signals and Measures Play to help leaders in our organisation get onto the path of finding meaningful Objectives and Key Results for their units.
Really helpful plays and templates. Looking to apply all of them in some capacity but intend to run the vision and goals plays to help with some current blockers.
In our company, we provide tailored software solutions to clients by closely aligning with their needs.
To ensure effective collaboration, we use the DACI method, where I act as the "driver," working closely with the client as the "approver." Our team of "contributors" includes internal consultants, developers, and client process owners.
We keep the client's executive leadership informed with regular updates. This approach ensures customized software solutions that meet our clients' objectives while involving them throughout the process.
