Using Confluence and Jira to Manage Projects

For me, Confluence was a game changer in my last project. We used Confluence linked to Jira to present burn down charts, latest prioritized user stories, comments on the roadmap, etc.

Not everyone who was involved with the project needed access to Jira. Therefore, we used Confluence as a way to present that information so the stakeholders could see it, comment on it, and be ready for our ceremonies without having to take time to explain certain things they might have questions on.

When the project was done, I was able to export the Confluence space into a 500+ page document that described the project from beginning to end. This saved me time recreating details into a final report.

Wow, this sounds really well thought out and executed, @Marjorie! We have a similar setup with our roadmap for stakeholders. 

We love linking Confluence docs to Jira tickets to have an easy way to communicate the specs and allow commenting as we iterate. We also link the Jira tickets that apply to each AC in a spec within Confluence.
