unable to delete multiple branches after update

I can no longer select multiple branches to delete in Sourcetree. The checkbox allows one branch at a time, which is a regression

Welcome to the Atlassian community!

I would check if you are using the multi-select feature inside the dedicated branch management dialog rather than the sidebar context menu. You can access this by navigating to Repository > Manage Branches from the top menu bar. Inside this window, you should be able to hold down the Ctrl key on Windows or the Cmd key on a Mac to highlight multiple local branches simultaneously, and then hit the delete key or click the delete option to remove them all at once.
