so yes everything is explained in the title, let me rephrase it with another tense

my password works on bitbucket webpage but not when i try to clone my own bitbucket repositories

this is so unexpected

Welcome to the Atlassian community!

I would check whether this is Bitbucket Cloud or Server, since the fix differs. If it's Bitbucket Cloud, this is expected. Since September 2022, it no longer accepts your account password for git over HTTPS, only an app password (or access token).

To fix it, I would go to Personal settings > App passwords, create one with Repositories: Read/Write, then use it instead of the account password when Sourcetree prompts for credentials. If Sourcetree cached the old password, I would clear it from Preferences > Authentication.

You can also use SSH instead.
