override dev branch with master

Those new to the Atlassian Community have posted less than three times. Give them a warm welcome!

I have tried to search but I'm not really sure how to make the dev branch (local and remote) a complete copy of master. There are some discrepancies where I cherry picked certain commits to the master branch and now the master is the correct version.

I'd really appreciate learning how to do this. Also syncs with beanstalk if that is relevant.

Thank you I'll see if I can translate this across to SourceTree as that is sometimes what throws me when I see instructions using commands :)
