Thanks David.  Got it working.

I fixed it my issue by following the http://id.atlassian.com link and creating and downloading the licence file, and in within the sourcetree application click on importing the licence from file.

I am having the exact same problems.  Should I uninstall Source tree and re-install to get another 30 days of use?
