I need the windows to be modifiable in the application with the ability to delete the add window, I want to display a window of the history of changes to a specific file on the main window.

Could you please specify your current Sourcetree version and operating system? Since your question is from 2023, Sourcetree has undergone several interface updates since then.

Regarding the file history, it's already available in Sourcetree. When you right-click on a file in the changes list or in File Status, you'll see a Log Selected option. This opens up a history view focused solely on that file, displaying all commits that have affected it. There's no need for a separate window since the current log view already handles individual files perfectly.
