in addition to @Tomislav Tobijas answer, if you are working on a cloud instance please update you atlassian profile -> https://support.atlassian.com/atlassian-account/docs/update-your-profile-and-visibility-settings/
On a server side instance it depends if your user is coming from an external user management system (AD) or he is an internal one.

Are you trying to change your display name within Sourcetree or are you maybe trying to change your username display here, on Community Forums?
