how to rebase interactively

I've used SourceTree before and sometimes had this problem, but now it seems to be stuck in this "state":

I cannot rebase interactively. When I select a commit on my active branch and choose "Rebase children of (the commit) interactively.." nothing happens.

How can I resolve this?

Try navigating to the repo using the bash.  If you type `git status`, does it give you any clues?  e.g. are you in the middle of a rebase, or a merge?
