Why did a commit end up with just a comment?

Hi everyone,

I merged "branch_demo2" into "branch_demo3" and "branch_demo4" into "branch_demo5".

However, the outcome shows only my comment during my commit, as shown in the picture highlighted by two red rectangles.

Can anyone shed any light on why this happened?

Hi 

It looks like you are on branch_demo5 and the red rectangle commits are effectively just commits on that branches direct history.

The don't show branch names against them because they are not HEAD commits.
