What am I doing wrong - cannot add my local dev project to my Bitbucket repositories

I have a local dev project that started out as test code that is now important enough to make a repository. 

To that end, as I have done before, I created a new repository in my Bitbucket account. I cloned that empty repo to my local hard drive using HTTP option, then copied all my dev files into the new empty folder. However, none of the copied-in files show up in SourceTree, so I can't sync this project. No idea why this is not working and I'm not getting any errors.

Any suggestions? I must be missing something.

Ok, looks like I wasn't doing anything wrong after all.

In the Workspace/File Status in SourceTree "Pending files, sorted by file status" was selected in the dropdown, and none of my files were showing. However, selecting that same option again from the dropdown caused my files to appear for staging. All is now working well.

Looks like it may be a bug...?
