We have installed Sourcetree 3.4.28 into our customers - having bugs

We have identified several critical bugs in our current deployment of SourceTree version 3.4.28, which are negatively impacting our customers. To restore stability, we need to transition to a different version.

Upon reviewing the official download archives, I noticed that version 3.4.30 has been released, but it is not yet listed in the archives. Currently, only version 3.4.26 is available for download.

Given these options, I recommend we downgrade to version 3.4.26 immediately, as it is a known stable release. Alternatively, we could wait for 3.4.30 to be officially added to the archives if its fixes are critical.

Please let me know your thoughts on which direction we should take.

@Ananthan Subburaj Hari Hara Prasath _BD_TOA-SWE5_ I would recommend upgrading to the latest version over downgrading.  If you are concerned about stability, you should test it out before officially deploying it.

Hi @Ananthan Subburaj Hari Hara Prasath _BD_TOA-SWE5_ ,

All versions, including the newest one (3.4.30), should be listed in the download archives.

Also, 3.4.30 is the latest and official (stable) version, so I'd recommend downloading that one. You can check the release notes on the link provided above.

Now, it depends on what the critical bugs you mentioned are, which would probably affect which version to 'choose' 👀

Cheers,
Tobi

Hello Tobi,

Thanks for your mail , but i can see the same link but not able to see the latest versions , Here i attached the image.

As you confirmed there is no bug in 3.4.30 also previous bugs are fixed in the mentioned version , so can we proceed with 3.4.30 ?

@Ananthan Subburaj Hari Hara Prasath _BD_TOA-SWE5_ oh wow. I don't see the link as well now 😅

Not sure what's going on with the archives page 👀 Might ask someone from the Atlassian team to take a look.

Anyway, you could use this direct link then: 3.4.30
v3.4.30 is the latest official version (as far as I know), so I'd recommend at least trying it out.

Hello @Tomislav Tobijas

Seems like issue version of SourceTree they have removed from the sites.

Should we check with Atlassian team first regarding can we proceed with this 3.4.30 version ?

Still we should wait for sometime to get the stable version.

@Ananthan Subburaj Hari Hara Prasath _BD_TOA-SWE5_ last reply went under the radar... Apologies.

As Brant said, the recommendation is to upgrade to the latest version (which would be 3.4.30) despite the fact that it isn't available in the archives.
