Troubleshooting Git "The requested URL returned error: 429"

I have repositories that were set up and previously working for quite some time. All of a sudden I'm getting messages that the repo is unreachable and "The requested URL returned error: 429" even though I can visit the url to the repo it says can't be reached. Any thoughts?

A computer restart seems to have taken care of whatever issues I was having.

I hope that is it -- but you may find yourself digging in to the interface your using and the 429 rate limit on API calls.
