Sourcetree won't recognize login credentials

I've reset my password three times, and can log into my Atlassian account fine and see my projects there. But when I Fetch through Sourcetree, it asks me to log in but doesn't recognize/accept the password. It prompts me to reset the password, which I've done multiple times, and still doesn't work.

I've confirmed that Sourcetree is set to my username and email associated with the account.

Since Atlassian dropped the Basic HTTP validation of passwords, I hade to create an app password.  The password for that app authorization plus the non-email username for my primary account allowed consistent pull/push without repeated authentication.

And here i was thinking I'm doing something wrong. Please someone fix this issue.
