Sourcetree javascript load error during atlassian login

I am trying to install the latest version of sourcetree on windows 7 ultimate and unable to login into atlassian on the 'Atlassian account' step. Can anyone help?

Solved it by upgrading my IE to version 11.

All the replies to this issue seem to suggest that Internet Explorer is a requirement for SourceTree. Is that REALLY true?

Any suggestion on how to use SourceTree in a PC that runs Win7 but does not have IE?

There's another solution in some other thread that says

• Right click on the error window.
• Copy the current url
• Paste it in your current browser

Seems legit but didn't work for me. I had to upgrade from IE8 to IE11 to get through the "Atlassian Account" step.

Thanks for the suggestion, Debasish, but the "paste url" also does not work here. All it does is open a page as below:
