Sourcetree Support for Built-in Windows SSH Agent

Will there ever be a time when Sourcetree will support the native (built-in) OpenSSH Agent on Windows like it does for MacOS and Linux?

I repost this question, because there was never a definitive time of when to expect this feature to become available.

Using the built-in OpenSSH agent for authenticating to my GIT repos is easy from command line and now part of Git for Windows.

There hasn’t been a set date for native Windows OpenSSH agent support yet, and it’s unlikely there will be one here either. The good news is, you don’t have to wait around for it!

Go to Tools > Options > General > SSH Client Configuration and set SSH Client to OpenSSH instead of PuTTY. Sourcetree then calls the system SSH and uses the same built-in Windows agent you already use from the command line.

Are you using Bitbucket Cloud or a server host? This will help me recommend the best key setup for you.

Unfortunately, there remains a bug in SourceTree that makes this somewhat painful. Please see https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/SRCTREEWIN-14314.
