Hey @Anand Narasimhan ,

These are intentionally separated into a tab-based design to reduce UI complexity and maximize workspace. Basically, there is currently no native setting to merge the repository browser back into a sidebar within the repo view.

What would be the goal here (meaning, requirement)? Like, are you finding it difficult to navigate between multiple open repos with the current UI? 👀

The goal is to be able to switch between repositories easily.  It is an extra step to open the repository browser and switch to another repository. 

Too many open windows can clutter the desktop.

It doesn't necessairy have to be in the sidebar. Actions in the toolbar to navigate between the repository browser and the repo view - like Tower, would be nice.
