Not able to login to bitbucket using my email address and API token

Have craeted a API token. But not able to login to source tree using my API token and Email Address. Getting Account not found error

Hi and Welcome. 

it think you have to use for Bitbucket Cloud (including Sourcetree),  your Bitbucket username (handle), not your email, together with the API token. Using your email will trigger “Account not found.”

Find your Bitbucket username
Go to https://bitbucket.org/account/settings/ → Profile settings.
Note the “Username” (this is your handle, not your email).Screenshot 2025-09-07 104903.png

Could be the possible solution

Well the documentation from Atlassian which is "always useful" states it needs to be the email address. However even if you try either it doesn't work.

I've been fighting this all morning but totally locked out of Bitbucket from a Git perspective. Terrible documentation on this. I can't even revert to app passwords as they have been depreciated but actually worked!!
