Mac App Store version is outdated

Michal Golebiowski
January 30, 2013

Why the Mac App Store version is still at version 1.5.6? Is there any problem with review from Apple? I'm asking because release notes say version 1.5.7 fixed one bug existing only in this version and - oh, irony - it was made available only as a standalone version so far...

Hey there,

Apple have now stopped allowing us to publish to the Mac App Store due to the sandboxing requirements on apps in the App Store. We'll now be offering only the direct download from our website which means updates will be released quicker in the future (http://sourcetreeapp.com/)

Cheers

Hopefully we can change the MAS description so people will know we no longer publish there. Cheers!

Thanks for info! You should probably remove the Mac App Store link from your site (it's quite visible) and delete the application from the Mac App Store to avoid the confusion...

Yes, but I'd still advise to at least remove the link to Mac App Store from your main site.
