I of course have no idea what this is, or why it's being picked up as something worthy of standard version control. So in short I don't know if it's safe to ignore, delete, or what, but I don't want to commit a 4MB file obviosly being tracked by LFS? What should I do in cases like this?

I use SourceTree because I'm not familiar with console GIT.
@Malkere The screenshot did not come through. Regardless if there is a file in your local repository it will add it when you commit or merge. I am guessing it is something that you potentially copied to the local repo and is not necessary to add to source control. I would nee do see the screenshot to confirm.
