In the Github app for Mac, there are quick and convenient ways to open various links to the hosted web content surrounding the project.

Hi Joe,

GitHub can do this successfully because they only support GitHub repositories (from what I remember?). This way, the URL format is absolutely guaranteed. You're right, we could support this for Bitbucket or GitHub repositories, but anything else would be a guess in order to support all the different hosting providers.

I've added it as a feature request here for you so we could possibly add it in the future.
