I'm working on a large project with lot of collaborators, hundreds of commits a day about lot of different features. While they are all part of my project history most are not relevant to me and the commits I'm interested in are often hundreds of steps appart.
Is it possible to have a display that hide most of those commits, showing maybe only the commit after and before what I'm interested in? Those that would touch certain files?
There is not such functionality in Sourcetree. You can scope to a particular branch or search based on text and date but not do more finely grained filtering. Please file a feature request with your workflow(s) and thoughts for us to review at https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/SRCTREE (Mac) or https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/SRCTREEWIN (Windows)
