Is it possible to disable the automatic version check at startup in SourceTree

SourceTree prompts me whenever an update is available. I presume this information is queried on startup of the program.

Is it possible to disable this automatic check (the connection to the internet, to be more precise) somehow?

I couldn't find one, but there is probably a feature request for this on the Atlassian JIRA.
