I'm trying to clone a private repository in github, got an error

Hello everyone, I'm having an issue with github cloning. Unfortunately I got this error everyime I try to clone :

Error: remote: Write access to repository not granted.
fatal: unable to access 'https://github.com/JackF007/xxxxxx.git/': The requested URL returned error: 403

I tried to change and regenerate the auth token, delete the passwd file in the source tree and restart again. Cannot find the reason why it didn't work

Hi @Giacomo Ferlaino and welcome,

please could you check that user has read permission on that repo? Moreover, did you try to clone it from github ui?
