I cannot update to the lastest version from version 3.4.2

My SourceTree app is crashed. I can’t open it, so I tried to install a new version. But it failed due to access issue, please check the log:

2025-02-13 15:03:25> Program: Install path C:\Users\bin.xiao\AppData\Local\SourceTree already exists, burning it to the ground

2025-02-13 15:03:25> IEnableLogger: Failed to remove existing directory on full install, is the app still running???: System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path 'C:\Users\bin.xiao\AppData\Local\SourceTree\SourceTree.exe' is denied.

We cannot delete the folder and the old exe file so that we can install the new version.

Pls help!

@Judith Williams welcome to the Atlassian community

I would suggest rebooting your machine and then making sure that the application is not running before trying to update it again.  Are you an admin on the machine?
