Hello,
I'm new here so I'm a bit lost. I've already used source Tree but never created or uploaded a local projet. So here is my issue : I have a group project on unreal engine 4, we have an existing scene that we can't redo from the start but we would like to use versionning and allow multiple persons to work on the unreal project. I've tried to create a local repository on my project's folder but when I try to commit the modifications to upload the project on bitbucket i have the following error message :
"Another git process seems to be running in this repository, e.g.
an editor opened by 'git commit'. Please make sure all processes
are terminated then try again. If it still fails, a git process
may have crashed in this repository earlier:
remove the file manually to continue."
I think I've missed something but can't get what to do to allow the other group's members to edit the project, can anyone help me?
Sorry for my lame explanation I'm quite bad at english.
Thank you for your answers, regards.
There's a git.lock file you can safely remove when there are no clients (command line, IDE, Sourcetree) running Git looking at that directory. Things should clear up after that.
