How to prevent sourcetree from hanging when dealing with text files?

Using source tree v3.4.11 on windows 10.  I have a number of updated text files, about 150KB in size each, whenver I selected them in sourcetree to either stage/discard, the program hangs for about 10 seconds.  If there are more files, it may hang more minutes.  Is there a way to prevent this from happening? I don't need to see the difference, I just need to either stage or discard them as a group, is there a way to disable diff for these file types?

"Diff" tab in Options has some settings that can probably help with that:

• You can ignore some file types like *.txt so that they won't ever appear in diff
• you can set a max file count, so that if you still wish to see .txt files in diff, just not when you're selecting multiple files at once, you can only ignore files in masses
• then there's "Size Limit (Text)" and "Size Limit (Binary)" for both file types, meaning "do not show diff for files that exceed this size limit"
