How do you add a file to be commited in latest sourcetree (1.9.5)?

Previously there was a checkbox next to every file that allowed you to add it to be commited (index in git). This checkbox is GONE now!

I am actually outraged, as this is one of the single most used functions in the whole program!

One of the later updates also added a progress popup every time you added a file and stayed up, which in itself is disturbing. (Make it stick only if there was an error)

I see you can add a file using the context menu or press Ctrl+shift+plus, but this is not as easy as point and click.

Is there a way to get the old behavior back?

Removing the checkbox was a truly ridiculous decision that belongs in the "how can we make this program less user friendly?" camp. Hopefully SourceTree brings it back
