How do I get off the App Store?

I use SourceTree on 2 different systems. I purchased one direct and one via the AppStore, thinking that was a good idea. However, the AppStore version is woefully behind and the AppStore is not offering an udpate.

How can I move the AppStore purschsed item to Atlassian?

You can just download from http://sourcetreeapp.com - your App Store license will automatically register the direct download copy as well. All your settings will be migrated across. You should delete the old SourceTree.app from Applications and replace it with the download from sourcetreeapp.com.

If at any point in the future you re-install your Mac from scratch, you'll need to register SourceTree because your App Store reg won't be on there any more, but this is free, and also quick and easy with the online registration tool, only takes a couple of minutes.
