Failed to check login for user

I can't authenticate with PAT, I keep getting this error.

 

I have tried with both email, and my username, and I use a PAT as password. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong, I've been trying for an hour now with different things. It works fine with the OAUTH authentication, but then I get an authentication failed when cloning one of my private repositories. It says I have to use PAT login instead, I can't because I get that error in the above image.

I'm out of ideas I need some help.

PS. It works fine in another GUI client I use, I just can't get it to work in Sourcetree.
