Hi - I am not able to select "reset to embedded git-lfs" in the preferences of an existing repository in a new branch. Do you know why this is? I would like to push a file, but it is over 100MB, so I need to enable git-lfs. Thanks!
Hi @fjohns,
Unfortunately I'm not quite clear on the problem but hopefully this might help a bit…
"Reset to embedded git-lfs" in the Git preferences is for managing the installation of that particular component. You don't need to use it unless there's a specific version of git-lfs you prefer.
Enabling LFS for a particular repository is done using the Repository -> Git LFS -> Initialize Repository menu item and that will help you set up the configuration. You may also need to enable it in the hosting service you use.
