A great feature (for tracking macro-enabled Excel binary files) would be to use the git-xl-diff tool during the GetFileDiffAgainstBaseProcess when you click on an unstaged file. This happens when you install the git-xl tool.
However, it only shows changes to Macros. Using WinMerge (or perhaps other external diff tools) you can see changes to other data in your Excel file. It would be great to be able to set it up so that the GetFileDiffAgainstBaseProcess called git-xl-diff.exe, whereas the external git diff used WinMergeU.exe for the same file type.
Right now, its an either/or.
Does that make sense?
