Created app password in Bitbucket.org but cannot create password in SourceTree

Created app password in Bitbucket.org but cannot create password in SourceTree

For March 1, 2022 deadline we must use app passwords. Created app password in Bitbucket.org.

In SourceTree, I must change credentials for my account under Tools/Options. Changed Authentication from OAuth to Basic. When I click button "Refresh Password" I get message "Authentication failed".

What do I do?

actually I take it back. I had the wrong password in the clipboard. It works for me now. Maybe it was the same for you?
