Cloning to wrong file deleted existing data.

I created a git repository on github which I then proceeded to clone to a local repository with Sourcetree. The problem being I accidentally cloned it to the wrong directory and it then proceeded to overwrite everything in the file without a warning. Is there a way to regain this data? The data does not seem to exist on the computer anymore.

Where did you clone it to? Was it another repository? If so, you should be able to revert the operation. You can learn more about it in our tutorial and in the Git official documentation.
