Cannot see staged files in stage area unless restarting SourceTree

After upgrading to SourceTree 1.6 for WIndows, whenever I stage a file, the staging area is "working" forever and I cannot see the staged files unless I restart SourceTree.

How can I fix this?

Turning off "Always display full console output" fixes the issue.
