Can Sourcetree be used with an existing Github (source/origin) repository, completely bypassing (not utilizing) Bitbucket?
More specifically, I just want Sourcetree as a Git GUI, and I only want to use it for synching files between my local repository and my existing Github remote repository. I don't want/need a Bitbucket repository. That is, if I do a Push from my local repo, it needs to go to my Github repo, not a Bitbucket repo. If that's not what is going to happen, then I need to delete my Bitbucket repo and account. How would I go about doing that?
When I put in my Github repository's credentials, it seemed as though the files were copied to my Bitbucket account repository. If that is so, I need to delete it (the Bitbucket repository). Please tell me how. The files can't be there.
Thank you.
