assigning tickets to rovo cli

ok, so I assigned a ticket to rovo cli
It's pretty good at reading the ticket and figureing out what to do.
The question i have is,
1. how do i git it GH access so it can pull from main and push back to gh? I actually got this 'working' but no idea how.
2. It seems to need a system prompt for pulling tickets, maybe in an md file. e.g. When assigned a ticket, update the status to in progress, add a comment that you have started working on it and pulling source from gh
3. pull from gh main to ensure local is up to date
4. create branch based on ticket in jira
5. work on it
6. Test it
7. commit and push changes

any guidance on the above? Just put that with links to everything in an md in root?

Thank you
