I'm curious where the name Rovo comes from? I tried to ask Rovo themselves, but they couldn't explain it to me.
The name "Rovo" reminds me of the Finnish words "rosvo" [1] or "ropo" [2] and generally sounds like a very unappealing product name to me when I tried to pronounce it.
There is also a similar rhyming Finnish profanity word [3].

@Marko Samuli Kirves we talk about this in our Brand naming Work Life blog! Check it out: https://www.atlassian.com/blog/strategy/brand-naming
Great, thank you for the link. I will have a read, or at least paste this to another AI to read for me. The Atlassian AI chat didn't seem to know about this blog or the origin of its name, so it could be trained with some better self-awareness. 😉
I've been using some version of AI support on our service desk in the past. It's generally very dumb, but guessing that may be because our own knowledge base is also a bit out-of-date.
Is this the same product, but just with a new name?

@Lauren Marten Parker thanks for responding with this link! @Ali BenCafuonce told me Rovo was referred to as Blueberry before it took on an official name—fun bit of Atlassian history.
@Marko Samuli Kirves If you were using an older Virtual Agent or AI search in JSM, you’ll likely see major improvements with Rovo, especially if your knowledge base is updated.

Regarding JSM, I'm just a customer, so I have little knowledge which agents we're using or how well the knowledge base is updated.
I do use Jira and Confluence for software development so keen to learn how Rovo can help me there. I've previously used AI functionality on Notion which was great at finding needles in the haystack for me, if nothing else.
