Hi everyone

I’m running into an issue while trying to add a domain when connecting to the Rovo MCP Server, and I’m hoping someone here has run into (or resolved) something similar.

What I’m seeing

  • In the Add domain modal, enter the domain gosearch.ai

  • Immediately triggers the error:
    “Unsupported domain pattern”

  • This blocks us from proceeding and prevents access to apps like Jira and Confluence

I’ve attached a screenshot showing the exact error state for reference.

What I’m trying to understand

  • Are .ai TLDs supported for Rovo MCP Server domain configuration?

  • Is there a specific required format for domains?

  • Is any additional allowlisting or backend configuration required for certain domains?

If anyone has successfully added a non-.com domain (or has guidance on the expected domain pattern), I’d really appreciate any pointers

Happy to provide more details or test alternative formats if helpful.

Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the community @Sukrit Phaopanich Rovo MCP’s domain allowlist currently accepts only standard web domains that match Atlassian’s verified-domain pattern, and some newer TLDs (including .ai) are rejected even if they’re valid DNS domains. This is a limitation of the MCP domain-validation rule, not your setup. There’s no workaround in the UI today—.ai domains cannot be added. Atlassian needs to update the validator, so the next step is to open a Support ticket so they can whitelist your domain or confirm when broader TLD support will roll out.
