Rovodev stopped free trial?

Drag Me
April 9, 2026

I am encountering an issue while using Rovo Dev CLI. The following error message appears:

Entitlement Check Failed

CLI and IDE access is not available on your current plan. Please upgrade to continue using Rovo Dev CLI.

To resume your session, restart Rovo Dev CLI with the --restore flag.

Error: failed to execute the command

I have already added my payment card and am currently on the free trial, but I am still unable to access the CLI and IDE features.

I also contacted billing support earlier; they were unable to resolve the issue and created a ticket. It has now been over 15 hours, and the problem remains unresolved.

Hi @Drag Me

Welcome to the Atlassian community and thanks for your question!

It seems access to the Rovo Dev CLI and IDE extensions is not available during a free trial. You must have a paid Rovo Dev Standard subscription to use these features.

Hope this answers your question. ðŸ™‚

Thanks,
Anwesha

@Drag Me this is a bit of a gray area. Trial access to Rovo Dev CLI/IDE is limited and not consistently enabled, so some users need a paid plan to use it—but it’s not a formally announced blanket removal.
