HI Rovo community
I was wondering is there a way to set up a trigger on slack I see at the moment its only Jira, confluence the agent can trigger
I want to set up a trigger automation slack for a specific time frame in a slack channe
Hi @Mario
I don't quite understand what you are trying to achieve.
You want to trigger a Rovo Agent based on a time frame and it's supposed to do stuff in Slack?
Agents can only be triggered automatically via Automation. That can be Jira Automation or Confluence Automation. You can have scheduled Automation rules in both. If the Agent has Slack skills (via the Slack connector), you can trigger the Rovo Agent and have it working in Slack.
Rovo Agents can not be triggered automatically from 3rd Party products as of now. You can trigger an Automation rule via a Webhook though.
Hi @Rebekka Heilmann _viadee_
For example:
I want to set up a After hours message and weekend Message to a specific channel to trigger between a given time frame using the Rovo agent
You mentioned using Slack skills via the Slack connector? How would I go about
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
Do you need the message to be different everytime, based on live information? You can use Slack Workflows to send scheduled messages to Channels.
If you need Rovo to access information from Slack in order to "write" the message first, you need to setup the Slack Connector for Rovo: Connect Slack to Rovo | Atlassian Support
Once that is setup, the Slack data is indexed for Rovo to use.
If all relevant information is available in Atlassian itself, you only need the Slack skill/action:
There is a "send Slack message" Skill, that you can add in the Rovo Agent Scenario. You can just search the Skill library for "Slack".
If you are using Automation, you need to use the Automation Action "Send Slack message". The Setup is explained here: Use Slack with Automation | Cloud automation Cloud | Atlassian Support
