Rovo feeback response

Hi there

Is it possible to amend the Rovo responses on Slack currently it provided a Thumbs up and Thumbs down button for each acknowledgement if the answer has been answered and require more assistance?

Hi @Mario today, those 👍 / 👎 buttons are part of Atlassian’s built-in feedback mechanism and aren’t configurable. You can’t change the buttons, customize the feedback flow or trigger actions directly from them. They’re used internally to improve responses. If you need custom behavior (e.g., escalation, follow-ups), you’d need to handle that in the agent design or JSM workflow, not via the feedback buttons.

@Mariono worries—this part can be confusing 

Think of it like this:

  • The 👍👎 buttons = fixed by Atlassian (you can’t change them)
  • The agent = what the bot says and how it behaves
  • Workflows = what happens next (like creating a ticket)

So:

  • You can guide how the agent responds, but not control it exactly
  • You can’t change the buttons
  • And escalation happens in JSM/automation, not the agent settings
